The Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKU) Governing Council has approved the promotion of Dr. Bala Abubakar Shehu to the rank of Associate Professor (Reader) in the Department of Educational Technology, effective 1st October 2025.

The Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKU) Governing Council has approved the promotion of Dr. Bala Abubakar Shehu to the rank of Associate Professor (Reader) in the Department of Educational Technology, effective 1st October 2025.
The decision was confirmed during the Council’s 7th Regular Meeting on Thursday, 12 February 2026.
Dr. Shehu, who joined AKU in January 2024 after serving as Chief Lecturer at the Niger State College of Education, was recognised for his dedication to academic excellence and notable contributions to the field of education.
The Council, chaired by Professor Mohammed Kuta Yahaya, congratulated Dr. Shehu on the achievement and encouraged him to continue advancing the vision and mission of the University’s founding fathers.
