Dr. Dorcas Drock Achieves Rare Double PhD Milestone in Science and Engineering

Dr. Dorcas Drock Eyinla, a prominent geoscientist and petroleum engineer, has set a remarkable academic precedent by securing five university degrees, including two Doctorates, before the age of 40.

Her journey, which concluded with a final PhD in 2025, highlights a rare intersection of deep scientific research and high-level engineering.

A former senior lecturer at Adekunle Ajasin University in Ondo State, Nigeria, Dr. Drock has successfully transitioned between academic instruction and technical field roles. Her work experience includes roles as a lead material and metallurgical engineer and a geoscientist in oil and gas fields. She has also conducted research internationally, including at the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom.

Known to her significant social media following as "#TheLoveDr," she uses her platform to advocate for "illimitable" potential, specifically encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Beyond her technical work, she is the founder of the Drock Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the underprivileged and providing professional guidance through the Young Geoscience Club (YGC).
