Fed Poly of Oil & Gas Bonny Rector Hosts South-South FRSC Zonal Commander for Strategic Collaboration
The Rector of Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas Bonny, Dr. Victor Okolobah, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, hosted the South-South Zonal Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Assistant Corps Marshal Henry Benamesia, to strengthen institutional ties and explore mutually beneficial areas of collaboration.
The Rector of Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas Bonny, Dr. Victor Okolobah, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, hosted the South-South Zonal Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Assistant Corps Marshal Henry Benamesia, to strengthen institutional ties and explore mutually beneficial areas of collaboration.
The meeting, held at the polytechnic, was in line with Dr. Okolobah’s agenda to grow all segments of the institution and deepen partnerships with relevant stakeholders. The South-South Zonal Command of the FRSC covers Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom States.

ACM Benamesia led a high-powered delegation including Corps Commander Inyang E. Umoh, Chief Route Commander Comfort Mc-Orjinter, Dr. Andy Uzor, Dr. Confidence Eke, Daniel Patrick, Route Commander C.V. Igwe, and Assistant Route Commander Promise Ayanate Egede.

During the discussions, both parties identified key areas of partnership, including:
- Joint research to improve road designs in Bonny Island for effective traffic management.
- Reviewing and renewing safety procedures within the polytechnic.
- Facilitating driving license renewals.
- Providing advanced training for the institution’s drivers.
- Enhancing mobility awareness in Bonny and across Nigeria.

ACM Benamesia commended the Rector for his proactive leadership and commitment to making the polytechnic a fully functional and forward-looking institution. Both parties agreed to pursue further engagements in the coming months.

The meeting underscores the polytechnic’s growing potential under Dr. Okolobah’s pragmatic leadership, which continues to open new avenues for institutional growth and societal impact.
