Federal Polytechnic Oko Hosts Maiden International Hybrid Conference

The School of Science and Technology at Federal Polytechnic Oko recently organized its first international hybrid conference with the theme "Laboratory Science, Research and Technology: The Basis for Innovation, Sustainability, and Economic Development." The conference brought together experts and stakeholders to discuss the role of science and technology in driving innovation and economic growth.

Professor Daniel N. Obiorah, a professor of Geophysics from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the significance of laboratory science and technology in modern civilization. He emphasized that laboratory-driven innovations have revolutionized various sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, energy, and industry.

The conference participants were urged to invest in research and development to drive innovation and economic growth. The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, emphasized the importance of science and technology in transforming the economy and accelerating development.
