Federal University of Lafia VC Appoints New Deputy Director for Artificial Intelligence and Biochemistry Head

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved the appointment of Dr Mohammed Abubakar Mohammed as Deputy Director of the University’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence.

Dr Mohammed’s appointment is for a one-year tenure.

In a related development, the vice-chancellor has also approved the appointment of Dr Fatima Adis Ademude as the Acting Head of the Department of Biochemistry for a period of one year.

The appointments were disclosed in a statement issued by the University's Registrar, Malam Nuradeen Abdu.

Until her latest appointment, Dr Ademude has been serving as Acting Director of the Directorate of Linkages and Advancement, a position she will continue to hold concurrently.

According to the statement, the appointments are aimed at strengthening the University’s administrative and academic structures and enhancing efficient service delivery across the institution.
