FUADSI Disowns Viral Memo on 2025/2026 First Semester Resumption Date

The management of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI), has issued an official disclaimer, distancing the institution from a viral memo that falsely announced Monday, February 26, 2026, as the resumption date for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.

In a public statement released by the university, management said its attention was drawn to the misleading memo currently circulating on social media and other informal platforms. The document, which was presented as an official notice, was reportedly directed at newly admitted students, parents and guardians, members of staff, and the general public.

FUADSI categorically described the memo as fake and fraudulent, stressing that it did not emanate from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor or any authorised unit of the university. The management clarified that no resumption date has been approved or announced for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.

Reaffirming its institutional values, the university emphasized its commitment to transparency, integrity, fairness, and due process in all official communications. Members of the public were strongly advised to disregard the fake memo and avoid acting on unverified information.

The university further urged students, parents, and other stakeholders to rely solely on official channels for accurate updates and announcements. These include the university’s official website, www.fuadsi.edu.ng, and communications issued through the university registry and other duly designated platforms.

The disclaimer was electronically signed by the Registrar of the institution, Mr. Afolabi Tunde Muritala.
