FUE Pankshin VC Urges Students to Settle Fees, Commends SUG Leadership

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin, Professor Noel Nenman Wannang, has urged students with outstanding school fees to settle their obligations promptly ahead of examinations.

Professor Wannang made the call during an interactive session with the Students' Union Government executives for the 2026/2027 academic session, led by Comrade Lohkur Vongdip, held at the Quality Assurance Board Room of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed confidence in the student leadership, commending the executives for their maturity, objectivity and willingness to embrace constructive change. He described the SUG as a balanced and focused leadership capable of contributing meaningfully to the development of the institution and the nation.

He however expressed concern over reports that some students deliberately failed to pay their school fees despite receiving disbursements through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, and urged affected students to regularise their payments before examinations.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the SUG executives to present pressing concerns affecting students, including campus security, hostel accommodation, electricity supply, sports development and student activities, as well as the need to strengthen feedback mechanisms between students and management.

Responding, Professor Wannang said several of the issues raised were already receiving attention, assuring the students of management's determination to provide a conducive and peaceful learning environment. He emphasised the importance of sustained dialogue and cooperation between the university authorities and student representatives.
