FULAFIA Adjusts Resumption Schedule Over Hostel Renovation Delays

The Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) has announced a temporary adjustment to its resumption plans following delays in the ongoing renovation of student hostels on campus.

In an internal memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar and dated December 26, 2025, the University Management informed students that lectures will continue online until Friday, January 30, 2026. The decision was attributed to the slow pace of renovation work at the university hostels, which has made immediate physical resumption impracticable.

According to the memo, the hostel application portal will open on Monday, January 12, 2026, while hostel and room allocation will commence on Monday, January 19, 2026. Students are expected to complete all necessary hostel arrangements ahead of the full return to campus.
