FULafia Management Receives SSANU Women Wing in Strategic Consultative Visit

The Management of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive administration and staff welfare during a high-level engagement with the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Women Wing.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Aleruchi Chuku, representing the Vice-Chancellor, received the delegation led by Comrade Becky Kajo at the University’s Old Senate Chamber. 

Fostering Administrative Synergy

The visit served as a platform for the SSANU Women Wing to interface with the university leadership on matters concerning professional growth, workplace equity, and the unique contributions of female senior staff to the institution’s development.

Speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chuku commended the association for its organized leadership and proactive approach to staff matters. She emphasized that the University management remains dedicated to maintaining a harmonious working environment that recognizes the vital role of the non-academic workforce.

Commitment to Women’s Empowerment

Leader of the delegation, Comrade Becky Kajo, expressed appreciation for the management's open-door policy. She noted that the visit was aimed at strengthening the bond between the union and the administration while advocating for continued support for women-led initiatives within the University community.

The meeting concluded with a mutual resolve to continue constructive dialogue to ensure the sustained progress of Federal University of Lafia.
