FULafia Partners with ITF to Host SIWES Orientation for Students

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), through its Directorate of Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), in collaboration with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), organised an orientation programme for students preparing for the scheme.

Declaring the event open on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Prof. Ilemona Adofu, highlighted the importance of SIWES in bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical industry experience.

He said that the programme equips students with hands-on skills needed to function effectively in their professions.

The ITF Area Manager for Nasarawa State, Barr. Halima Ali Muhammad, urged participants to follow SIWES guidelines during their industrial attachment.

At the end of the day, certificates were presented to students who were outstanding during their industrial attachment.
