FULafia Teams Shine at Maiden NANS Sports Tournament

The male football and female volleyball teams of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) have maintained their strong form at the maiden edition of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) sports tournament taking place in Lafia.

In a thrilling match-day 2 encounter against the Nasarawa State College of Agriculture, played at the Nasarawa State School of Nursing and Midwifery ground, FULafia’s football team played out an 8-goal thriller, emerging 5–3 winners. 

Goals from Eugene who bagged a brace, Solomon, Adah and Osama did the damage for the FULafia side currently brimming with confidence.

Similarly, the FULafia women’s volleyball team recorded a convincing win against their opponents from the same Nasarawa State College of Agriculture, triumphing in three straight sets and preserving their 100 percent winning record.

All eyes now shift to FULafia’s final match of the tournament against the Nasarawa State College of Nursing and Midwifery.

The football team is coached by the duo of Williams Auta and Adams Jesse Odoba, while Suleiman and Tupari Ali Jasada lead the volleyball side.
