FULafia VC Commends TETFund for Staff Development Initiatives

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has expressed his appreciation to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for sponsoring the training of academic and non-academic staff of the university.

Speaking recently, Abdul Rahman commended TETFund for sponsoring 12 academic staff to attend a conference in Ghana, themed "Entrepreneurial Education Management and Leadership Transformation in Africa." The conference aims to enhance the capacity of researchers and scholars in Africa.

The Vice-Chancellor also acknowledged TETFund's recent sponsorship of non-academic staff for training at the ASCON in Topo-Badagry, Lagos.

Abdul Rahman emphasized the importance of staff development, stating that "training of workers is one of the cardinal functions of my administration." He urged TETFund to continue prioritizing staff training in educational institutions to address the nation's challenges.

He encouraged the staff undergoing training in Ghana to utilize the knowledge gained upon their return to the university.
