FULafia VC Praises Former Deputy Vice-Chancellors for Exceptional Service

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the three former Deputy Vice-Chancellors who recently completed their tenure.

The outgoing Deputy Vice-Chancellors are Professor Aleruchi Chuku (Academic Affairs), Professor Ali Is’haq Shugaba (Administration), and Professor Sama’ila Usman Dakyes (Research and Partnerships).

Professor Abdul Rahman praised their dedication and impactful leadership, acknowledging the critical roles they played in enhancing academic excellence, administrative efficiency, and research collaborations. The former Deputy Vice-Chancellors have been appointed to new positions within the university: Professor Chuku as Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Professor Shugaba as Provost of the College of Medicine, and Professor Dakyes as Director of the Aliko Dangote Sugarcane Research Centre.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the university's commitment to finding visionary, competent, and committed individuals to occupy leadership positions. The university will soon begin reviewing the criteria for appointing new Deputy Vice-Chancellors.
