FULafia Vice-Chancellor Announces New Appointments

Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), has made several key appointments. 

- Prof. Victor Samson Dugga has been appointed Provost of the College of Postgraduate Studies (CPS).

- Prof. Dalhatu Musa Yusha'u is the new Deputy Provost of CPS.

- lProf. Amos Idzi Ambo has been named Director of the Directorate of Open Distance and E-learning (DODEL).

- Dr. Abubakar Hassan will serve as Deputy Director of DODEL.

- Dr. Joseph Dlama Zirais the Acting Director of the Artificial Intelligence Centre (AIC).

- Dr. Abdukareem Alhassan is the Acting Director of the Centre for General Studies.

- Mrs. Becky Kajo has been appointed Head of the Staff Productivity Promotion Unit (SPPU).

The appointments follow the Senate's approval to transform the School of Postgraduate Studies into a College. The provost and deputy provost appointments are effective from July 29, 2024, and will last for two years. The DODEL director's appointment begins on August 1, 2024, and will also be for two years, while the other positions are for one year, starting August 1, 2024.
