FULafia Vice-Chancellor Appoints New Department Heads and Coordinators

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved the appointment of new department heads and coordinators. The appointments, which are effective from September 5, 2024, will last for one year.

According to a statement by the university's Registrar, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, Dr. Ufo Ejike Akunna has been appointed Acting Head of the Department of Radiography. Other appointments include:

- Dr. James Lokoja A. as Acting Head, Department of Ophthalmology

- Dr. Agbo Paul as Acting Head, Department of Psychiatry

- Dr. Ahmed Muhammed Rabiu as Acting Head, Department of Human Physiology

- Ahmed Tijani Bako as Acting Head, Department of Anesthesia

- Dr. Timjul Tanko Tyem as Coordinator, Department of Medical Biochemistry

- Dr. Lawal Ahmed Abdulmumuni as Acting Head, Department of Human Anatomy

- Dr. Yusuf Idris Abiola as Acting Head, Department of Internal Medicine

- Dr. Ibrahim Tajudeen Lanre as Acting Head, Department of Pediatrics

- Dr. Egele C. Stanley as Acting Head, Department of Orthopedic

- Dr. Mohammed Saliha Ozegya as Acting Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology

- Dr. Lawal Mudashiru as Acting Head, Department of Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Medicine

- Dr. Idris Ainavi Isah as Acting Head, Department of Chemical Pathology and Immunology

- Dr. Esther Solomon Audu as Acting Head, Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology

- Dr. Ramalan Mansur as Acting Head, Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics

- Dr. Ukoma Chi-Kadibia Theophilus as Coordinator, Hematology and Blood Transfusion

These appointments are part of the university’s efforts to enhance administrative and academic leadership.
