FULafia Vice-Chancellor Paves Way for Financial Autonomy with New Industrial and Housing Projects

The outgoing Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has laid the foundations for three major income-generating projects aimed at boosting the University’s financial capacity .

The projects, FULafia water factory, bakery and luxury apartment, are being executed by the FULafia Consult Ltd, the University’s consultancy and business development arm.

The foundations laying ceremony took place at the Permanent Site Campus of the University.

Speaking at the event, Abdul Rahman described the initiatives as strategic investments designed to enhance internally generated revenue, promote institutional sustainability and provide practical training opportunities for students. 

He noted that the projects would bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world business operations.

Also speaking, the Manager of FULafia Consult Ltd, Mr Anwar Liman, said the water factory and bakery would serve the needs of the University's community and the general public while creating jobs and promoting entrepreneurship.

He added that the luxury apartment would address accommodation challenges and strengthen community engagement.
