FULafia Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kida, Visits Sangarin Kwandare to Seek Royal Support
Continuing his high-level engagement with key regional stakeholders, the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Mohammed Isa Kida, led his management team on a courtesy visit to the Sangarin Kwandare, Alhaji Ahmadu Al-Makura, at his residence in Lafia.
The visit was strategically aimed at consolidating the long-standing relationship between the university and the traditional institution to foster a peaceful and productive academic environment.
Strengthening Traditional Ties
Professor Kida expressed profound appreciation for the royal father's consistent guidance and advocacy. He reaffirmed that under his administration, FULafia remains committed to collaborating with traditional leaders to drive regional development and maintain institutional stability.
A Call for Purposeful Leadership
In his response, the Sangarin Kwandare, Alhaji Al-Makura, welcomed the delegation and pledged his unwavering support for the university’s mission. However, the monarch offered a pointed piece of counsel to the new administration:
"Strong and purposeful leadership is vital to overcoming the University’s challenges," the royal father remarked, urging the Vice-Chancellor to remain resolute in his developmental agenda.
The visit marks another step in Professor Kida’s ongoing "stakeholder diplomacy" tour, aimed at securing the communal backing necessary for his tenure's success.
