FULOKOJA Students to Receive NELFUND School Fees Refund as SUG Confirms April 10 Start Date

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has issued a definitive update regarding the anticipated refund of school fees for beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

In a formal notice released on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the SUG President, Comr. Joseph Adomu Adopisa, confirmed that the administrative bottlenecks previously encountered with the NELFUND office have been fully resolved. The refund process has now moved into its final internal phase within the university's administrative system.

The students in Batch A and Batch B whose status on the NELFUND portal is marked as "disbursed" and who had personally settled their school fees prior to the loan disbursement.

The Union officially announced that disbursement of these refunds is scheduled to commence on or before Friday, April 10, 2026.

Acknowledging the anxiety caused by the delay, Comr. Adopisa expressed appreciation for the patience shown by the student body. "We understand that many students depend on these funds for critical academic and personal needs," the statement read. "The Students’ Union Government is working tirelessly to ensure a smooth and transparent process, as the interest and welfare of our students remain our topmost priority."

The SUG leadership urged all affected students to remain calm as the final financial reconciliations are concluded to ensure every eligible student receives their due payment.
