The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in partnership with the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF), is inviting applications for the fourth phase of its Graduate Agripreneurship Programme.

FUNAAB Invites Applications for Graduate Agripreneurship Programme, Phase IV

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in collaboration with the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF), has opened applications for the fourth phase of its Graduate Agripreneurship Programme. The initiative, launched in 2022 under a Service Agreement between FUNAAB and BATNF, is designed to support young agripreneurs in developing sustainable agricultural enterprises.

Over the past three phases, the programme has empowered 10 agripreneurs with ₦1.5 million each in funding to enhance their agricultural businesses. With Phase IV now open for applications, eligible graduates of FUNAAB are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the programme, applicants must:

  • Be a graduate of FUNAAB from one of the following colleges:

  • Have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and possess a strong passion for agriculture as a business.

  • Be between the ages of 21 and 35 years and must have graduated within the last four years.

  • Provide evidence of entrepreneurial experience in agriculture, either through a personal agribusiness or active involvement in an agricultural enterprise.

  • Be willing to establish and operate the agribusiness within the university premises for the duration of the programme.

  • Sign an undertaking with the university regarding the terms of the project.

Application Requirements
Interested candidates must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) that includes:

  • A detailed business plan outlining how the ₦1.5 million grant will be utilized.

  • A brief essay explaining why they should be selected for the programme.

Submission Deadline
Applications should be addressed to the Vice-Chancellor and submitted electronically via email to dvcd@funaab.edu.ng on or before Monday, March 3, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
