FUNAAB, WAF Partner on Free Health, Vision Screening for Staff

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in collaboration with the Wellness Africa Foundation (WAF) through its Right to Health & Vision Initiative, is set to commence a free health and vision screening programme for members of staff.
The initiative, tagged “See to Be Safe”, is aimed at promoting healthy living, early detection of health conditions and workplace safety among staff of the University.
The screening programme is scheduled to hold from Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 5, 2026, at the NHIA Building. Activities will commence daily at 10:00 a.m.
The programme is targeted particularly at Security Staff, including Sheriff Deputies and Drivers, as well as other members of staff.
According to the Directorate of Health Services, the initiative is designed to facilitate the early detection of health and vision-related conditions while promoting the overall well-being and safety of staff.
To ensure smooth participation and effective service delivery, the first 200 staff members to register each day will be attended to.
Interested staff members are encouraged to commence registration from Friday, August 28, 2026, at the NHIA Desk Office, Directorate of University Health Services.
