Staff members of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) made a remarkable impact at the 34th Annual Rural Sociological Association of Nigeria (RuSAN) conference, which was held at the University of Ibadan from October 6 to 10, 2025.
FUOYE faculty members secured key leadership positions within the Association:
President: Professor Olayiwola Fasoranti, from the Department of Sociology, was elected as the new President of RuSAN.
General Secretary: Professor Ogunjimi, from the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, was elected as the General Secretary.
Assistant General Secretary: Dr. Mrs. Olajumoke Alabi took on the role of Assistant General Secretary.
This performance highlights the institution's growing influence and the caliber of its academic staff within national professional bodies.
