FUTA Appoints Professor Ganiyu Oboh as Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced the appointment of Professor Ganiyu Oboh of the Department of Biochemistry as the new Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship (CENT), effective August 1, 2025.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced the appointment of Professor Ganiyu Oboh of the Department of Biochemistry as the new Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship (CENT), effective August 1, 2025.

In his new capacity, Professor Oboh will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of CENT, driving the development of innovative programmes, providing strategic leadership, mentoring staff, and promoting teamwork within the Centre.

A distinguished researcher in the life sciences, Professor Oboh is widely recognized for his outstanding scientific contributions and commitment to human capacity development. He is an active member of several professional and academic bodies, including the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Biotechnology Society of Nigeria, Nigerian Society for Experimental Biology, New York Academy of Sciences, World Academy of Young Scientists, and the Accelerator for Sustainable Development of Africa.
