FUTA Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Taiwo Amos, Receives Prestigious Fellowship from NAAE
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Professor Taiwo Amos, has been conferred with the Fellowship of the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE), the highest recognition awarded by the Association to distinguished professionals in Agricultural Economics.

The fellowship was formally conferred during the 25th Annual National Conference of NAAE, held on 14th October 2025 at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State. The conference brought together experts, policymakers, and academics to discuss critical issues shaping Nigeria’s agricultural and economic landscape.
In the citation accompanying the award, NAAE commended Professor Amos for his outstanding scholarship, impactful research, and commitment to capacity development, noting his significant contributions to the discipline of Agricultural Economics, national growth, and mentoring of young scholars. His leadership in advancing agricultural policy and development through evidence-based research was also highlighted.

Professor Amos expressed deep gratitude for the recognition, dedicating the fellowship to God, the FUTA management, colleagues, and students, whose support has guided his professional journey.
