LASU Announces Opening of NELFUND 2026/2027 Student Loan Application

Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Student Loan Application exercise by the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

The University urged all interested and eligible students to take advantage of the Federal Government intervention and complete their applications within the stipulated period.

Eligibility and Requirements

Applicants are expected to:

1. Be duly registered students of Lagos State University;

2. Possess a valid JAMB Registration Number, National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN);

3. Ensure that their Matriculation Number, Department and other institutional records are correctly uploaded and updated on the University portal; and

4. Ensure that their JAMB details are correctly verified.

Important Notice

Students are strongly advised to verify and update their institutional and JAMB records before proceeding with their applications on the NELFUND portal.

According to the University, this is necessary to prevent disqualification or delays that may arise from discrepancies or data mismatches in students’ records.

Students who encounter challenges while verifying or updating their records are advised to visit the Directorate of ICT or Special Interventions for prompt assistance.

All eligible students are encouraged to complete their applications before the Thursday, 31st December 2026 deadline.
