FUTA Extends 2026/2027 Post-UTME, Direct Entry Screening Registration

The university, through the Office of the Registrar, announced that eligible candidates now have until Friday, July 31, 2026, to complete their online registration for admission into all undergraduate courses and programmes.
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates who selected FUTA as their first-choice institution and scored at least 180 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are eligible to apply.
Direct Entry candidates who also chose FUTA as their first-choice institution are equally eligible for the screening exercise.
Applicants must possess a minimum of five O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalent.
The university also announced that admission into its MBBS programme, which was previously suspended, has been reinstated. Qualified candidates interested in studying Medicine and Surgery are therefore encouraged to apply.
Method of Application
Eligible candidates are required to visit the university's official website to obtain detailed information on the admission process, complete and submit the online Post-UTME application form, and print a copy of the completed registration form.
Registration Procedure
FUTA stated that the online registration form is compulsory for all eligible candidates participating in the screening exercise.
Applicants are advised to correctly provide their UTME registration number and full names exactly as they appear on their JAMB registration slip during payment and registration.
After completing payment, candidates are expected to return to the university portal to complete the online registration process.

Screening Fee
The screening fee is ₦2,000 only and is payable through the Remita platform after generating the required payment reference.
The university warned that candidates who fail to register before the deadline will not be eligible for the screening exercise.
Important Admission Guidelines
FUTA stressed that only candidates who participate in the screening exercise will be considered for admission into the university.
The institution also stated that candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, to qualify for admission during the 2026/2027 academic session.
In addition, applicants are required to upload their O'Level results to the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) on or before Friday, July 31, 2026. Failure to do so will render affected candidates ineligible for admission.
