FUTMINNA SUG President Commissions Solar-Powered Borehole Project

The Students' Union Government (SUG) President of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), Comr. Divine Prince Daniel, has commissioned the Solar Powered Borehole Project at the school hostel.

The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, and other management staff.

The Vice Chancellor commended the Student Union for executing a forward-thinking initiative, stating that everyone needs to play a part in bringing about change in an evolving world. He encouraged subsequent Union Leaders to take up more initiatives that better students' lives.

Comr. Divine Prince Daniel described the project as a response to the immediate needs of students. He emphasized that leadership is about meeting the real needs of students and expressed hope that future Union leaders would build on this foundation to do even more.

The project is expected to improve the quality of life for students on campus, providing a reliable water supply and reducing the challenges associated with electricity outages. The SUG President's initiative sets a precedent for student leadership and demonstrates a commitment to serving the needs of students.
