The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta, has announced that the institution will graduate a total of 5,297 students during its upcoming 34th Convocation and 43rd Founders' Day Ceremony.

Speaking at a special press briefing on Monday, January 26, 2026, Professor Kuta provided a detailed breakdown of the academic performance for the 4,438 first-degree graduands participating in the ceremony.

Breakdown of Degree Classifications:

First Class Honors: 111 Students

The Vice-Chancellor noted that the remaining number of graduands comprises postgraduate students across various disciplines. The 2026 convocation highlights the university's continued role as a leading center for technological and scientific education in Nigeria.

The briefing serves as the official commencement of convocation week, which includes the grand finale scheduled for February 1, 2026.
