In a shocking turn of events, a promising young student, Chinagorom Marvellous Kingsley, met a tragic demise at the hands of a fellow student in Imo State. The 22-year-old final year student of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), was fatally stabbed by a 21-year-old 300-level student from Imo State University (IMSU), Francis Marvellous.

The incident, which occurred on Thursday night, stemmed from a heated argument between the two students. According to the Imo State Police Command, Francis resorted to violence, wielding a knife and fatally stabbing Chinagorom during the altercation.

Contrary to earlier reports, the Police have dispelled rumors suggesting the involvement of an individual from the Hausa Fulani ethnic group. Instead, they have swiftly arrested Francis Marvellous, who confessed to the crime upon interrogation. Francis reportedly admitted to engaging in a dispute with members of FUTO's Man O’ War Unit, during which he fatally stabbed Chinagorom.
