The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Gombe State University has released an essential update for students listed in the first batch of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a statement signed by the SRC Public Relations Officer, Babangida Alhaji Jingi, on behalf of President Amb. Abubakar Aminu Muhammad, beneficiaries are advised to immediately log in to their student dashboards to confirm their status.
Key Registration Details:
Direct Payment: The University has confirmed that registration fees for all verified beneficiaries in this batch have been paid directly.
Administrative Fee: Affected students are now only required to pay a portal charge of ₦2,500 to finalize their registration.
Exclusion Clause: The SRC noted that students who previously received double refunds and failed to return the excess funds are excluded from this specific payment cycle.
The council emphasized that these steps are necessary to ensure a smooth administrative transition for all loan recipients as the new session begins.
