Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has cleared ₦1,005,496,729.76 in outstanding arrears for staff at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH). The payment includes 13 months of 2023 promotion arrears, 1 month of 2024 promotion arrears, 21 months of hazard allowance arrears, relativity allowances for honorary consultants, accouterment arrears, and staff death benefits.

Additionally, the governor approved ₦398,568,662 for reviewed CONHESS/CONMESS payments to ensure timely compensation for healthcare professionals.
