Governor Mbah Announces Plan to Upgrade ESPOLY to University of Agriculture

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has committed to transforming Enugu State Polytechnic (ESPOLY), Iwollo, into a university specializing in agriculture within the next two years. This significant development was announced by the state's Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ndubueze Mbah, during the Education Summit held at the Polytechnic over the weekend.

Prof. Mbah conveyed the Governor’s vision, highlighting the administration’s dedication to advancing education as a cornerstone of sustainable development. The Enugu State Government has allocated 33 percent of the state budget to education, a substantial increase compared to the 15 to 20 percent recommended by international bodies such as UNICEF and the World Bank.
