It is no longer news that one of the things that prevents graduates from participating in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme is the issue of age.

Here are some of the things you should know about the issue of age as related to the NYSC as put together by Myschoolnews.

1. Your JAMB date of birth is used for NYSC mobilization

 

2. However, if your JAMB date of birth is above 30 years but your WAEC date of birth is below 30 years, you can use your WAEC details to correct it.

3. NYSC also calculates your age based on your date of graduation from your school i.e when your result was approved by your school's senate.

 

If your date of graduation is a few days after clocking 30 years, then you would need an exemption letter from the NYSC.
