Jere Federal Constituency MP Launches Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme

The Member representing Jere Federal Constituency, Engr. Satomi Ahmad, has launched a Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme to support 200 indigenes of Jere Local Government Area pursuing Master's and Doctorate degrees.

The scheme aims to ease the financial burden of tuition, research, and other academic-related expenses for postgraduate students.

Under the scheme, each Master's student received a grant of ₦100,000, while each Doctorate student received a grant of ₦150,000. A total of ₦22.5 million was disbursed directly to beneficiaries in the maiden edition of the programme.

Engr. Satomi emphasized the significance of education as a critical tool for development and societal transformation. He reaffirmed his commitment to making the scholarship an annual intervention, pledging continued support to postgraduate students throughout his tenure and beyond.
