Police HMO Seeks Collaboration with UCH on Improved Healthcare for Officers
The Police Health Maintenance Organisation (HMO), Oyo State, has paid a courtesy visit to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, to explore areas of collaboration aimed at improving the medical welfare of police officers and other enrollees under the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) scheme.

The visit, which took place on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the hospital’s boardroom, was led by the State Coordinator of the Police HMO, Mr. Akintola Olugbenga, who commended the UCH management for its consistent delivery of qualitative healthcare services.
Mr. Olugbenga noted that the visit was part of efforts to strengthen partnerships that would enhance access to affordable and quality healthcare for police personnel and beneficiaries of the NHIA scheme.


In his remarks, the Chief Medical Director of UCH, Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, represented by the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Professor Olubukola Adesina, appreciated the Police HMO team for their visit and interest in collaboration.
Professor Adesina reaffirmed UCH’s commitment to delivering world-class medical services and expressed the hospital’s readiness to partner with the Police HMO in advancing the health and wellbeing of security personnel and their families.
