KASU Hosts ECLS Conference 2025 to Advance Cancer Research

Kaduna State University (KASU) recently hosted the Early Career Life Scientists (ECLS) Conference 2025, themed "Translational Cancer Research: Bridging the Gap from Bench to Bedside."
The conference brought together young scientists, experts, and innovators to discuss key challenges in cancer research and develop sustainable, locally driven health solutions.
Keynote speakers highlighted Nigeria's increasing cancer burden, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis, collaboration, and innovation. Discussions also focused on targeted cancer therapy, professional development in life sciences, and the potential of ethnoveterinary medicine in anticancer research.
The conference featured networking opportunities, poster viewing, oral presentations, and a breakout session for CV/resume clinic and scientific workshop. Awards were presented to recognize outstanding oral and poster presentations.
The Vice-Chancellor of KASU, Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa, commended the organizers and attendees, emphasizing the significance of education in addressing pressing health issues like cancer.
