KHAIRUN Inaugurates Student Consultative Forum to Strengthen Student–Management Engagement
The Management of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), under the able leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, has formally inaugurated the Student Consultative Forum (SCF) as part of the University's commitment to promoting inclusive governance, effective communication, and active student participation in institutional development.
The Student Consultative Forum comprises representatives drawn from various faculties and levels of study across the University. The forum is established to serve as a bridge between the student body and the University Management, providing a structured platform for constructive dialogue, representation of students' interests, and the promotion of mutual understanding on matters affecting the University community.
Speaking during the inauguration, the President of the Student Consultative Forum Bashir Jajere Alkali delivered an acceptance speech on behalf of the members, expressing profound appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and the Management for the confidence reposed in them. He assured the University leadership of the forum's commitment to discharging its responsibilities with integrity, fairness, and dedication, while working to foster unity and strengthen communication between students and the Management.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, congratulated the members on their appointment and charged them to uphold the values of discipline, responsibility, and commitment in the discharge of their duties. He reminded them that they had been entrusted with a significant responsibility and urged them to always place the collective interest of the University above personal considerations.

Professor Garba further encouraged the forum members to maintain open communication with their colleagues, listen attentively to students' concerns, and present issues to the Management in a responsible, constructive, and respectful manner. He reiterated the University's commitment to maintaining an open-door policy and assured the students that their contributions would continue to play a vital role in enhancing the academic and social environment of the institution.
