The Vice-Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Abdulrashid Garba, today received a delegation from the Arewa Peace Ambassadors Forum (APAF) in his office.

Speaking during the visit, the leader of the delegation stated that the purpose of their courtesy call was to brief the Vice-Chancellor on the Forum’s contributions towards addressing insecurity in Nigeria. He highlighted their key initiatives, which include public sensitization campaigns, awareness lectures, and outreach visits to orphanage camps. The delegation further sought the Vice-Chancellor’s expert advice, drawing from his vast experience, and requested his mentorship in advancing their mission.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation for the visit and apologized for the earlier postponement due to his demanding academic schedule. He took the opportunity to outline the University’s core programmes, which are centered on science-based education, entrepreneurship development, and the promotion of moral integrity. He also emphasized the scholarship opportunities provided through the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative, aimed at supporting students’ academic pursuits.

Professor Garba reaffirmed that Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University remains open to meaningful collaborations and commended the Forum for finding the institution worthy of engagement.
