Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Kano, welcomed Her Excellency Hajiya Ummusalma Isyaku Rabiu, Executive Commissioner of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) and Jarumar Matan Kasar Hausa, on a courtesy visit to the university on Friday, 24th October 2025.

Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Kano, welcomed Her Excellency Hajiya Ummusalma Isyaku Rabiu, Executive Commissioner of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) and Jarumar Matan Kasar Hausa, on a courtesy visit to the university on Friday, 24th October 2025.

During her visit, Hajiya Ummusalma expressed delight at the warm reception and commended the university management for sustaining the legacy of her late father, Khalifa Sheikh Isyaku Rabiu (Rahimahullah).

She reflected emotionally on her father’s vision of establishing a world-class university that fosters moral values, academic excellence, and entrepreneurship among youths. “This university is exactly what my father envisioned. Though he is not here to witness it, his legacy continues to inspire the vision and progress of this great institution,” she remarked, concluding with prayers for KHAIRUN’s continued growth and success.

In his welcome address, Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdulrashid Garba thanked Almighty Allah for the opportunity to host the FCCPC Executive Commissioner and expressed appreciation for her encouraging words. He highlighted the university’s milestones and achievements since its establishment and reaffirmed the management’s dedication to upholding the founder’s vision of functional, value-based, and quality education.

The visit concluded with special prayers for the repose of the late founder’s soul and for the ongoing advancement of KHAIRUN, reinforcing the university’s commitment to becoming one of Nigeria’s leading private institutions.
