LAUTECH ODL Centre Matriculates 2,500 Fresh Students in Ogbomoso

About 2,500 new students were formally matriculated into the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Open and Distance Learning Centre (LODLC), Ogbomoso, during a colorful ceremony held at the university’s Main Campus over the weekend.

About 2,500 new students were formally matriculated into the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Open and Distance Learning Centre (LODLC), Ogbomoso, during a colorful ceremony held at the university’s Main Campus over the weekend.

In his address, Vice Chancellor Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, represented by Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics and Innovations) Professor Dahud Olurotimi Araromi, encouraged the undergraduates to maximize the opportunities offered by the Centre’s programmes to improve their personal and professional development. He also cautioned students against indiscipline, emphasizing that vices such as cultism could hinder their progress while on LAUTECH premises.

The matriculation ceremony was attended by key university officials, including University Registrar Mrs. Olayinka Balogun, Librarian Professor Adefunke Sarah Ebijuwa, and representatives of the Bursar.

Professor Rafiu Ganiyu, Director of the LODLC, led members of the Centre’s Governing Board, including Secretary Mrs. Olanike Olubola Adedosu, in welcoming the fresh students. Deans of Faculties and other university directors were also present, highlighting the significance of the milestone in the ten-year history of the Centre.
