KIU Bursar Mal. Dunoma Kyari Dunoma Honoured with SSANU Merit Award

The Bursar of Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU), Mal. Dunoma Kyari Dunoma, has been honoured with a Merit Award by the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), University of Maiduguri Branch.

The award was presented during the 14th North-East Regular Zonal Executive Council (ZEC) Meeting held on 3rd June, 2026. Mal. Dunoma was recognized for his exemplary leadership, professionalism, dedication, integrity and outstanding contributions to university administration and financial management.

Presenting the award, the National President of SSANU, Comrade Mohammed H. Ibrahim, mnipr, stated that the honour was in recognition of Mal. Dunoma's commitment to transparency, accountability and staff welfare, qualities that distinguished him as a worthy recipient of the award.

According to Comrade Ibrahim, the award reflects the positive impact of Mal. Dunoma's service and the remarkable legacy he continues to build through hard work, innovation and unwavering support for institutional growth and development.

He commended the KIU Bursar for his dedication to excellence and his contributions to the advancement of the university system.
