ADUSTECH Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yakasai Attends High-Level Climate, Gender, and Nutrition Advocacy Summit
The Office of the Vice Chancellor, Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, is pleased to announce the participation of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, at the Advocacy and Awareness Campaign on Policies Related to the Integration of Climate Change, Gender, and Nutrition.
The programme, organized under the GCAN Project in collaboration with IFPRI, brought together representatives from Ajingi, Gaya, and Wudil Local Government Areas of Kano State to deliberate on critical issues relating to climate change adaptation, gender inclusion, and nutrition-sensitive policies.
In his remarks, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai reaffirmed the University's commitment to supporting research, innovation, and community engagement initiatives aimed at addressing contemporary societal challenges. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts among academic institutions, development partners, policymakers, and local communities in promoting sustainable development and improving livelihoods.
The Vice Chancellor commended the organizers for facilitating a platform that enhances awareness and strengthens policy advocacy on climate change, gender equality, and nutrition, which remain vital components of sustainable growth and national development.
The event was held at the Central Research Laboratory (CRL), Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, and featured participants from various stakeholder groups, government representatives, community leaders, and development practitioners.

The University remains committed to advancing impactful research and fostering strategic partnerships that contribute to the socio-economic development of Kano State and Nigeria at large.
