Kogi State Polytechnic Announces Schedule for 5th Combined Convocation Ceremony

 The Management of Kogi State Polytechnic (KSP), Lokoja, has officially released the lineup of activities for its 5th Combined Convocation Ceremony, celebrating graduands from the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic sessions. 

The week-long celebration, scheduled to begin in February 2026, features a blend of spiritual, academic, and social events: 

Sunday, February 1, 2026 (9:00 a.m.): The ceremonies commence with a Thanksgiving Service at the Chapel of Peace, Lokoja Campus.

Thursday, February 5, 2026 (10:00 a.m.): A formal Press Briefing will be held at the 1000-Seater Lecture Theatre to provide detailed insights into the graduation statistics and institutional milestones.

Convocation Lecture (10:00 a.m.): Prof. Christian Ezeibe, Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, will deliver a lecture titled "Skills over Certificates: Repositioning Technical Education for Sustainable Development" at the 1000-Seater Lecture Theatre.

Juma’at Prayer (1:30 p.m.): Special prayers will be held at the KSP Mosque.

Convocation Dinner (6:00 p.m.): A celebratory dinner will take place at the Rector’s Lodge.

Saturday, February 7, 2026 (10:00 a.m.): The grand finale, featuring the Award of Diplomas, Fellowships, and Prizes, will be held at the Convocation Arena.

The academic procession is scheduled to begin at the Academic Office Complex. All graduands and invited guests are expected to be seated at the Convocation Arena no later than 9:30 a.m.
