KolaDaisi University Hosts Press Conference as Part of Ongoing Convocation Programme

KolaDaisi University (KDU), Ibadan, on Monday, November 3, 2025, held a press conference at the University’s Senate Chamber as part of activities marking its ongoing Convocation Programme.

The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Registrar, newly appointed Dean of the Postgraduate School, members of the University Management Team, and representatives of the press.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor expressed profound appreciation to the Founder, Bashorun Kola Daisi, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, and other management members for their unwavering dedication to the institution’s growth. He reaffirmed the University’s vision “to be a world-class institution for excellence in the production of graduates able to respond to the socio-economic needs of a knowledge-driven economy,” and its mission “to nurture graduates with high employability attributes and competencies to help transform our country into global reckoning and position of pride in all human endeavours.”

The Vice Chancellor highlighted several milestones, including the recent accreditation of key programmes such as Nursing and Law, marking a major stride in the University’s academic advancement. He announced that 216 students will be graduating this year, reflecting steady progress in both academic and institutional development.

He also described the establishment of the Postgraduate School as a defining achievement that would further strengthen KDU’s commitment to research, innovation, and advanced learning. Staff, he noted, have been supported to attend conferences, secure research grants, and pursue professional development opportunities, while students continue to excel in national and international engagements.

The Vice Chancellor concluded by urging staff and students to remain steadfast in upholding KDU’s core values of excellence, innovation, and integrity, as the University continues to chart a path toward global distinction.
