Kwara State University KWASU has graduated 50 participants from its Centre for Complementary and Alternative Therapy CCAT after successfully completing the fourth batch of its Executive Certificate in Naturopathy programme.

Kwara State University KWASU has graduated 50 participants from its Centre for Complementary and Alternative Therapy CCAT after successfully completing the fourth batch of its Executive Certificate in Naturopathy programme.

The graduation ceremony was held on Thursday July 23 2026.

Representing the Vice Chancellor Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh the Dean of the Faculty of Education Professor Ibrahim Laro Abubakar urged the graduates to embrace continuous learning as they progress in their careers.

He also advised them to uphold professional ethics and comply with the laws and regulations governing the practice of complementary and alternative medicine.

Chairman of the CCAT Supervisory Board Professor Emmanuel Ajani said the centre's executive training programme is structured to meet international standards through a rigorous curriculum that equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills required for professional practice.

Professor Ajani also revealed that the centre is pursuing partnerships with relevant agencies to develop and commercialize natural herbal products resulting from research conducted by KWASU scholars.

In his welcome address the Coordinator of the Centre Mallam Yusuf Abdulrauf Olaniyi said the participants received intensive practical and theoretical training in several areas of complementary and alternative medicine.

• Herbal medicine

• Acupuncture

• Hijama

The ceremony also featured the inauguration of the fifth batch of executive trainees who are scheduled to begin their training on Monday July 28 2026.
