Lakem Support Foundation Donates Essential Food Supplies to FUNAAB Students

To alleviate food insecurity during the critical examination period, the Lakem Support Foundation has donated a substantial consignment of essential food items to the students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) .

The donation, led by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Olukemi Fashina, included staple goods such as rice, garri, sugar, vegetable oil, sachet tomatoes, pepper, salt, and seasoning cubes [1]. The initiative is part of the Foundation’s broader humanitarian mission to support students in tertiary institutions across the region .

Receiving the items on behalf of the university, the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Festus Adeosun, and the Deputy Dean, Prof. Oluseyi Ojekunle, expressed deep gratitude for the intervention . Prof. Adeosun noted that the gesture would significantly enhance the well-being of the beneficiaries, conveying the appreciation of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, for the timely support .

Mrs. Fashina emphasized that this outreach is a sustained commitment by the Foundation, noting that similar support has recently been extended to other institutions, including the Federal College of Education, Osiele .
