Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Appoints Dr. Abdulkadir Saleh Maigida as Chief Security Officer

The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB) has announced the appointment of Dr. Abdulkadir Saleh Maigida as the institution's new Chief Security Officer (CSO).

Dr. Maigida, a retired veteran of the Nigerian Navy, brings a wealth of tactical and administrative expertise to the role. His professional background includes previous high-level security leadership, having served as CSO at both the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic and in a prior tenure at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect in January 2026, is expected to further strengthen the security architecture of the campus. Management cited Dr. Maigida’s extensive experience in campus safety and maritime discipline as key factors in his selection to lead the polytechnic’s security division.
