LASU Alumna Wins Valedictorian and Alumni Awards at Canada's NSCC
Lagos State University (LASU) proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its alumna, Modupe Aminat Abass-Tijani, who has been named Valedictorian for the Class of 2025 and recipient of the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) Alumni Award in Canada.
Aminat's academic journey began at LASU, where she earned a Diploma in International Affairs and Strategic Studies and a in Economics. She later graduated with honours in Information Technology Generalist from NSCC in June 2025.
During her time at NSCC, Aminat demonstrated exemplary leadership and community engagement. She served as Wellness Champion, spearheading mental health awareness initiatives, and worked as a Peer-Assisted Learning Support provider, mentoring students in IT-related courses.
The Vice-Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, congratulated Aminat on her remarkable achievements and wished her continued success in her future endeavors. Aminat's accomplishments serve as an inspiration to current and future LASU students, reflecting the university's values of excellence, resilience, and service.
