David Akinwumi, Secretary of the LASU SDG Youth Club and a law student at Lagos State University (LASU), has emerged as the overall winner of the National Inter-Faculty Competition organized by Redeemers University on May 2, 2024. The competition, themed "Legal and Ethical Implications of Emerging Technology," featured participants from law faculties across Nigerian universities.

Akinwumi credited his success to the training he received from the LASU Centre for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing its significant contribution to his achievement.

In a celebratory event, Akinwumi presented his trophy to Professor Tayo Ajayi, Director of the LASU-SDG, at the SDG Office. This victory highlights LASU's commitment to excellence and the impactful role of the LASU Centre for SDGs in equipping students with the skills needed to excel in national competitions.
