LASU Restricts Unauthorized Content Creation on Campus to Uphold University Image

Lagos State University (LASU) has issued a formal directive requiring prior authorization for all cinematographic activities on its campuses. The decision aims to curb the unauthorized creation and use of university facilities for content deemed offensive, inappropriate, or harmful to the institution's image and values. 

In a press statement released on Friday, December 12, 2025, the university expressed concern that certain content produced on campus misrepresents the institution as a respected citadel of learning and character development.

Furthermore, the use of drones within the university environment is strictly prohibited without formal authorization from the Security Department. This measure is implemented to ensure the safety, privacy, and security of all members of the university community.
