The Senate of Lagos State University (LASU), on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, overwhelmingly elected Professor Oluwatoyin Ayokunle ENIKUOMEHIN as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration).

Professor Enikuomehin, a distinguished Professor of Computer Science and the current Director of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), secured a decisive victory, defeating Professor Ishmael Omah of the Department of Accounting with 206 votes to 04 votes.
He succeeds Professor Adenike Omotunde Boyo, whose four-year, two-term tenure concludes on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Professor Enikuomehin is expected to resume office on Sunday, October 12, 2025, pending ratification by the University's Governing Council.
Professor Oluwatoyin Ayokunle Enikuomehin is a distinguished academic, researcher, and technology leader with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and ICT Policy Development.

* Origin: A proud Prince from the Enikuomehin Royal Family of Okitipupa, Ondo State.
